Diagnóstico de Identidad

En España, 3 millones de personas conviven con una enfermedad rara. Quienes las padecen viven un gran choque emocional y, con frecuencia, se sienten definidos por su patología, en lugar de por quienes son realmente. Por eso, nos aliamos con la poeta y activista Noah Higón para crear ‘Diagnóstico de Identidad’, el primer diagnóstico que reivindica sus identidades únicas, al igual que sus voces, y la necesidad de abordar de forma más efectiva sus necesidades no cubiertas: acortar el tiempo de diagnóstico, fomentar la educación y concienciación en torno a estas enfermedades, aumentar la investigación y facilitar el acceso equitativo a los tratamientos.

In Spain, 3 million people live with a rare disease. Those who suffer from them experience a great emotional shock and often feel defined by their pathology, rather than by who they really are. That's why we teamed up with poet and activist Noah Higón to create ‘Identity Diagnosis’, the first diagnosis that reclaims their unique identities, as well as their voices, and the need to more effectively address their unmet needs: shortening the time to diagnosis, promoting education and awareness of these diseases, increasing research and facilitating equitable access to treatment.
